Review: inFAMOUS 2

Sucker Punch, Single player, $59.99, Playstation 3
Since the original inFAMOUS, Sucker Punch studios have been striving to startle the line of the Hero and villain mind set, and for an intro to the franchise, Sucker Punch hit is out of the park on the get go with inFAMOUS. The skills where solid, the story was interesting, and the reasoning behind the good or bad actions was validated with the hierarchy of the story. One sinking flaw, was the chooses that where set in front of you being to overbearing right off the bat with no real middle ground or gradual lead to being a hero or a villain, making you a saint that understand that beyond one’s personal needs the bigger picture with death facing your loved ones or a selfish asshole that will kill anyone in site for funnzies. Then enters inFAMOUS 2, sorting everything thing out, and in many ways paving over the choses made from the original, in the favor of a more neutral good, perspective.

WiiU, dumbest name, but pure brilliance as I can’t get it out of my head. Yet another reason why I am going to be poorer then dirt in my coming future. All this and more in Part 3.

E3 2011 Audio overview part 1, Microsoft and flailing your arms.
Well, the Data base is back and just in time for the start of E3, I know a lot of content was lost but to get back in the swing of things, I thought I would try out something new with posting mini podcast to reflect what was shown and give an idea of my over all impressions from the last two days of press conferences. Might be a little jagged around the edges, but enjoy.

3DS review: Super Streetfighter 4: 3D edition.

Capcom, 1-2 players, online multiplayer, $40.00, 3DS
The primordial need to punch each other in the face, and be victorious in doing so, best described in our love of fighting games. When you say fighting game, the first name in most minds is StreetFighter, but what does not come to mind is handheld, and to a further extent, 3D. How does Capcom’s new affair of the series hold up? Well let’s just say it doesn’t pull any punches, even in this deceivingly small package.

RIFT impressions, A feel for leveling 16-50

Aww the grind, one of every MMO staples in design. It is the gateway to the end game, the end goal, where presumably, people are waiting to give you cake and blowjobs upon completion. Well at least that is what I hope for upon any great feat, don’t you? But many of you might be trying to stop me right there, snarkaly saying, “it is the journey, not the destination.” Well don’t worry, Trion Worlds felt the same way before you pointed it out, and has taken the steps in providing users with the journey they desire.

CNNmoney.com talks about the 3DS, says No match for iPhone.

Well, well. What do we have here? Looks like CNN has decided to enter the ring of console cometary. While I do not know who thought CNN needed a review unit, considering they are so out of touch and would most likely provide less then favorable press, and lack of knowledge, it seems that they have hired a “Hardcore Gamer” to give his feedback on the matter. How do we know hes hardcore? Well he says he is hard core, and he grew up on “Halo”! I sure he is so hardcore that he does not know the massive hand cramps you get for using an virtual analog stick of gaming on the iOS. I must has sissy hands. Anyway, there is allot more I could say but I will let you formulate your own impressions.
